P.E. Grading and SIS

Hello Everyone,
The purpose of this post is to help familiarize parents/students with PE grades.
For each day a student dresses out and participates in PE, the student will receive up to 8 points (four points for dressing out and four points for participating). During a typical week, students have the opportunity to earn either 16 or 24 points (depending on the number of times the class meets). For example, next week A-day classes will meet three times, so the maximum number of points possible is 24. Notice that the due date is at the end of the week. After the class meets on Monday, student scores will show 8 out of 24. Please do not be concerned near the beginning of the week if the grade is showing 8 out of 24 because the class has only met one time for the week. Notice by the end of the week, the remaining points will be given as they are earned. Thank you.

Hello and Welcome Tuacahn Titans and Parents! You did it, you found mrboatrightsblog. Okay, so now what? Well, let me first tell you how excited I am to have you enrolled in "our" class. You are an amazing and important person possessing both talents and skills unlike any other person on the face of the earth!!! (I hope you will re-read that sentence again). You are different from everyone and I am excited to have the opportunity of having YOU in class -as YOU have something to offer that NO ONE else can!
As you have probably noticed, our school is growing! This growth is welcomed as Tuacahn is an extraordinary school and will now have an even greater impact on a larger number of people in our community. With this growth, I'd like to personally thank our students and parents for choosing Tuacahn. It is a great sacrifice of time, effort, and gasoline that you make each day. This sacrifice you make is what ultimately makes our school so wonderful!
Okay, so let's get down to business now. Each of the subjects I teach are relevant and will be for the rest of your life. It doesn't matter who you are, what career you choose, or how much money you make, your knowledge and application in the areas of Health, Fitness, and Finance will help you to enjoy a higher quality of life! Think about what people spend money on now days. Have you seen any infomercials? How many of those infomercials had to do with health, fitness, or finance? These infomercials are proof of the huge impact these subjects have on our everyday lives. I promise you, if you are disciplined, if you work hard, and you apply the information you receive in Health, P.E., and Finance, that you will begin to experience a higher quality of life! With that being said, I'm anxious to get to know you better and for the fun this new school year has to offer!
